Legendary Birthday

Welcome to my blog! I hope to share a couple of quick techniques and just inspirational cards! I'll share some of my color combos and favorite companies. 

    So up first is me getting ready for the dragon IG hop! Well actually the theme is birthday, but my theme within the birthday is I went with three dragon cards.  I do love my Hero Arts dragon stamps!

    Step one was color the cute dragons! I unfortunately don't have the die for this set so I fussy cut them out after stamping and coloring. I use Ohuhu markers and to make them look glossy I use the Glossy Accents by Ranger's ink. I love the way they look like puffy stickers I use to collect when I was little!

    Then the super fun part, making the paper for the background of my diorama card and the green paper for the die cutting. I used a variety of stamping inks and just started with the lightest color and kept adding more layers till I liked the look of it. Then I added some distress and mica sprays to add some extra dimension and sparkle. 

    The big reveal after using dimensional tape to put it all together! The bottom light green layer I used regular craft tape to adhere flat to the base. After I flipped the second layer the dark green layer, added dimensional tape and then placed it on top of the light green layer. Then I tucked in some adorable dragons and added the sentiment to the center. I love the way this came out and all the extra mica spray adds a lot of sparkle in the sunlight!
